Business Partnerships
Everyone wins when businesses partner with local schools and education organizations. Schools gain not only financial support, but also volunteers, advisors, internship opportunities, event sponsors, and other services. Businesses can promote their services to a broad audience, help to develop a qualified workforce, and build goodwill in the community. There are numerous programs and organizations in Maryland that offer your business the opportunity to become involved in local education.
Junior Achievement (JA) programs prepare youth to become valuable members of the workforce by learning the role of business in society and the role of financial literacy in life. Students can participate in classroom and afterschool programs, as well as activities such as the JA Job Shadow experience. JA programs rely on the support and involvement of local businesses to help students succeed. Maryland businesses that are interested in becoming involved with JA should contact one of the following JA offices.
Junior Achievement of Central Maryland (serving 10 Maryland counties)
Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore (serving 3 Maryland Counties)
Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area (serving 5 Maryland counties)
