To find a nonpublic school near you, you can search the listing below by school name, city, or county. A listing of all nonpublic schools in the state is also available on the website of the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). Nonpublic schools in Maryland are classified as either Approved or Church-Exempt. Approved schools are directly approved through a formal process conducted by MSDE. Most Church-Exempt schools are accredited through independent agencies such as the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.
